What does it mean to be blind? It’s like a code. And you’re selected outside. Out of the world of others.

 

What is the look taboo? Uncovered behind sunglasses. Take your stick to fill in the cliché. We see people as symbols of disability. Don’t want to offer your disability or don’t want to bother the "normal" people in their lives? I started to take pictures because of the idea of getting a look back at normality, behind the cliché of how we see people with symbols of disability being blind (cane, dark lenses, orientation problems in public space, etc.).

I did the portraits together with the situation of a close person (dad, mom, friend); then the explanation of the situation (what - illness, etc.) and the life of this person. Everyone has his story, has his life - puts you in the light to be visible outside of the taboo!
